Dionysius. Angels
Index-Card-D-08-05 DEH Note that the ladder from God & to God, which the mystic must climb, is a ladder of Intelligences, Revealers, Beings, Angels. In other words: Persons. This means, implicitly if not explicitly, that the mystic must, on his way to become one with God, become one with these Person in their due order.

You cannot approach God, as man, but only as merged in an Angelic Power. Of course God reveals himself at every level; my point is that for you to find God, is successively to become higher aspects of yourself. For the Seraphim etc. are you.
This doctrine is supremely important.
Dixon
Card-D-08-13. R (B Russell) can’t deny love, art, beauty, etc exist, but attributed them to ‘atoms’ — not to us. This is the opposite of attributing them to God, yet in the end it is the same thing!! Russell is religious.
