If organism reacts as a whole then when your m’s react, the cell reacts; when your cells react, you react; when you react, society reacts; & so on to the Whole. But the Whole cannot be subjected to any stimulus but itself. At this level action = reaction.

And ultimately all adjustments are adjustments of the Whole in & to itself.
