Index-Card-C-13-08 DEH: Is our knowledge an affair of two aspects: (1) something we wrest from our environment & (2) something that we externalise from ourselves, which is already in us? For instance, did we know unconsciously that the Earth revolved round the Sun, before Copernicus? or that H2+O=water! At our ‘molecule-level’ we did ‘know’ these things. Intuition, historically, has often foreseen later scientific discoveries, e.g. the atomic theory. Perhaps the truth is that while we are ideally omnipresent, it needs outside reality to awaken the inside knowledge we possess. We can, however, know nothing that does not come from within.
